This Lodge is located just before Marracuene Village, the first village, when you leave Maputo town going towards the North.
The facilities available include: 2 Two bedrooms Chalet (6 Sleeper), 3 One bedroom Chalets, Camping facilities with ablution block and a rustic shop. There are two boats for hire and canoes for guests to use in the river. The Lodge is on Municipal Electricity. There is excellent borehole water. All Chalets have on-suite flushing toilets and hot/cold showers. Hot water is supplied from Firewood-Boilers and the staff has to be advised what time the hot water is needed so that they keep the boilers warm for your showers. There is a small swimming pool as the river is not ideal for swimming. Each chalet has a braai area.
A 20 min boat trip can take guests to Macaneta Beach.
Fishing in the river is not bad at all and the water is salty, but no great expectations should be created. Fishermen can use the concrete ramp to launch their boats at a nominal fee and go out to sea for deep sea fishing, diving, etc.

The Lodge is not air conditioned however fans are supplied.
